From May 9 to 11, 2025, the " New Energy Chemistry and Device Conference " hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and organized by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, was held in a hybrid format at the Zhuoming Lecture Hall of West Building 1, HUST. More than 90 experts, scholars, and students from China and abroad attended the event. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Xia Baoyu, Vice Dean of the School, with opening addresses delivered by Professor Xie Xiaolin, Vice President of HUST, and Professor Tan Bien, Dean of the School.

During the conference, 21 renowned experts from the United States, Germany, Spain, South Korea, and China delivered academic presentations focusing on cutting-edge issues such as key materials and devices for new batteries, structure and interface regulation of energy materials, and chemical mechanisms of energy conversion and storage. Faculty and students engaged in in-depth discussions with the speakers. At the closing ceremony, Professor Wu Jiang'e, Party Secretary of the School, summarized the conference and delivered closing remarks.

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has always aligned its efforts with major national strategic needs, emphasizing the development of international platforms. By fostering long-term collaboration and exchange with top global experts, the School has established stable and productive partnerships, achieving outstanding innovative results in multiple fields.
