2026 HUST Application Guide for International Undergraduate Students

➭Eligibility and Requirements

1.Graduating high school students or obtained a senior high school diploma, physically and mentally healthy foreigners.

2. According to the regulations released by Ministry of Education, P. R. China, if parent(s) was (were) a Chinese citizen settling in a foreign country at the time applicants were born, applicants must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2022. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between May 1, 2022 and April 30, 2026 (The actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit signatures).

This requirement shall also be met by those who apply for undergraduate study as international students after immigrating from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and obtaining foreign nationality.

➭Documents for Application

Part 1. Academic Documents

1. The exam report of the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment" (CSCA) organized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). For specific information about the test content, time, etc., please visit the official website of the CSCA at www.csca.cn. The corresponding subjects for the CSCA exam are as follows:

2. High school graduation certificate or proof of impending graduation (for applicants in their final year of high school study).

3. High school transcripts.

4. Personal Statement: Introduce yourself in details, explain your understanding of China, the reasons and your expectations for studying at HUST.

5. Personal Introduction Video: Please record and submit a video in English or Chinese within 60 seconds.

6. Language Proficiency Certificate:

● Chinese-medium:

HSK4 with scores 180 or above for programs of Science, Engineering and Medicine;

HSK5 with scores 180 or above for programs of Economics, Management, Literature, Education, Philosophy, Arts and Law, and the School of Artificial Intelligence.

Or the previous degree education was instructed in Chinese or mother tongue is Chinese, HSK scores can be exempted after verification.

● English-medium:

TOEFL (≥80), IELTS (≥5.5),

Or other certificates of the same proficiency level which are accepted by HUST;

Or the previous degree education was instructed in English or mother tongue is English, the English proficiency certificate can be exempted after confirmation.

7. Other supporting materials that can prove learning ability and comprehensive quality, such as award certificates, scientific and technological achievements, publications, participation in activities, etc.

Five or more pieces of personal art works are required to apply for architecture and design related majors.

Part 2. Non-Academic Documents

1. Photocopy of valid ordinary passport (expiry date should be after October 15, 2027).

2. Applicants currently residing in China must provide a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.

3. Applicants in category 2 in the Eligibility and Requirements Section must provide:

(1) copies of all passports he/she used to have.

(2) all copies of visa or residence permit relevant to stay in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.

4. Physical Examination Form.

5. Certificate of Non-criminal Record.

6. Financial Certification/Bank Statement (≥5,000 USD).

7. Applicants who are under the age of 18 by September 1, 2026 should submit the Guardian Authorization Letter and guarantee letter by legal guardian in China.

*The above materials shall be provided in Chinese or English. For other languages, please provide official notarized translations.

➭Application and Admission Procedures

Application Period:

October 15, 2025 to June 15, 2026.

Step 1.

Log in to the online application system at http://admission.hust.edu.cn/.

Step 2.

Choose the program, upload the Academic Documents, complete and submit your application.

Step 3.

Finish the payment of the application fee in due time.

Step 4.

After passing the interview* and receiving the pre-admission result,，upload Non-Academic Documents, complete and submit it.

Step 5.

Waiting for the school’s interview notification and final admission results.

*Only some schools have interview requirements, please refer to the attachment - Undergraduate Programs Offered in 2026 for Admission in HUST;

Note:

● The documents uploaded should be clear, complete, true, and valid. Incomplete or false applications will be rejected;

● All applicants should apply online through the system

● Please check the online application system and email frequently. Applicants can log in to the system after March to check the pre-admission results. Pre-admitted students must confirm their placement by paying the first academic year's tuition fees within two weeks. Admission Notices and JW202 Forms are expected to be issued in June 2026.

Applicants shall pay the application fee (non-refundable) of 600 CNY/100 USD in 15 days upon completing the online application successfully:

➭申请资格

1.应届高中毕业或已取得高中毕业文凭，身心健康的非中国籍公民；

2.根据中国中华人民共和国教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文的规定：

依据《中华人民共和国国籍法》第五条，父母双方或一方为中国公民并定居在外国，本人出生时即具有外国国籍的，不具有中国国籍。其申请作为国际学生进入我校本专科阶段学习，除符合学校的其它报名资格外，还应持有有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年（含）以上，且从2022年5月1日起至2026年4月30日止在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。从中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾地区移民并获得外国国籍后申请作为国际学生进入我校本科阶段学习的，也应满足此项要求。

➭申请材料

学术相关申请材料

1. 中国教育部国家留学基金管理委员会组织的“来华留学本科入学学业水平测试”成绩单（具体测试内容、时间等信息，请访问来华留学本科入学学业水平测试官方网站www.csca.cn查看）。申请学科对应考试科目如下：

2.高中毕业证书，应届高中毕业生提交所在学校出具的预计毕业证明原件；

3.高中阶段全部课程的成绩单；

4.个人陈述：包括个人简介并阐述你对中国的了解及来rabey雷竞技学习的原因和学习期望；

5.自我介绍视频：时长60秒以内的中文或英文自我介绍；

6.语言能力证明：

● 汉语授课项目申请人：

理工医学类：汉语水平考试HSK4级180分或以上

经管人文类，人工智能与自动化学院：汉语水平考试HSK5级180分或以上

汉语水平不达标者需在我校对外汉语教学中心补习直至满足汉语水平要求，方可申请进入本科学习。申请人前置学历为汉语授课或母语为汉语的，经认定可免提供HSK成绩；

● 英语授课项目申请人：

需具备良好的英语听说读写能力。

托福80分，雅思5.5分，多邻国110分 及以上。

申请人前置学历为英语授课或母语为英语的，经认定可免提供英语能力证明；

7. 其它可证明学习能力和综合素质的支撑材料，如获奖证书、科技成果、发表论文、参与活动等，申请建筑、设计类相关专业需提供5幅或以上个人美术作品；

个人信息相关材料

1. 普通护照扫描件（最新有效护照，有效期至2027年10月15日或以后）；

2. 现居住在中国大陆境内的申请人需提供当前有效签证或居留许可页面；

3. 属于申请资格中第2类情况的申请人，需提交：

（1）所有曾持有过的护照个人信息页；

（2）所有曾出入及合法居住在中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾地区的签证、居留许可、出入境签章页面。

4. 外国人体格检查表；

5. 无犯罪记录证明；

6. 个人经济能力证明或经济担保证明（5,000美元或以上）；

7. 至2026年9月1日前未满18周岁的申请人，需提交监护人委托书及在华监护人保证书。

*上述材料需提供中文或英文版本，其它语言请提供官方公证翻译件。

➭申请及录取流程

申请开放日期：2025年10月15日

申请截止日期：2026年6月15日

申请步骤：

1. 登录rabey雷竞技国际学生招生与管理服务系统

网址：http://admission.hust.edu.cn/

2. 选择具体项目，上传学术相关申请材料，确认无误后提交申请；

3. 缴纳申请费；

4. 通过院系面试*并收到预录取通过结果后，上传个人信息相关材料，确认无误后提交；

5. 等待最终录取结果。

*仅部分院系有面试要求，详见附件-本科招生专业目录

备注：

● 上传的文件应清晰、完整、真实、有效，否则将不予受理；

● 所有申请人需通过国际学生在线申请与服务系统进行在线申请，其它申请方式将不予受理。申请完成后请勿再邮寄任何纸质版申请材料或通过电子邮件发送；

● 申请完成后应定期登录rabey雷竞技国际学生招生与管理服务系统查看录取进展，保持联系电话畅通并及时关注邮件。申请人可于3月份后登录系统查询预录取结果，获得预录取资格的学生，须在预录取结果发布之日起两周内支付第一学年学费，确认预录取结果。正式录取通知书和外国留学人员来华学习签证申请表预计将于6月陆续发出。
