As autumn breeze brings coolness and osmanthus fragrances fill the air, to promote Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges and enrich the campus life of international students, our school successfully held a Mid-Autumn cultural experience activity themed "Sharing the Moonlight Across the Globe, Chinese and Foreign Friends as One Family" in Classroom 221, West Building No.1 on the afternoon of September 30, 2025, as the Mid-Autumn Festival approached. The event attracted many teachers and students to participate actively, with a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere on site.

At the beginning of the activity, Professor Bien Tan, Dean of the school, delivered a warm speech. He first extended holiday greetings to all Chinese and foreign teachers and students present, then explained the cultural connotations of "reunion, harmony, and harvest" of the Mid-Autumn Festival as well as the feelings of family and country in vivid language. Dean Tan stated that he hoped everyone, regardless of their origin, could feel warmth and a sense of belonging in the school family, and wished everyone gain joy and friendship during this beautiful festival. His speech was met with bursts of applause, kicking off the activity on a warm note.

Carefully planned by the school, this activity aimed to enhance international students' understanding of traditional Chinese festivals, alleviate their homesickness, and build a relaxed and pleasant communication platform for Chinese and foreign teachers and students. The event featured rich and diverse contents, mainly divided into two sessions: mooncake-making experience and handmade lantern DIY.

In the mooncake-making session, teachers and students sat around, kneading dough, wrapping fillings, and pressing molds to make their own "reunion cakes" with their hands. The scene was filled with fragrance and continuous laughter. Tasting the mooncakes made by themselves, everyone not only felt the unique flavor of the Mid-Autumn Festival but also deeply experienced a sense of accomplishment from creating delicious food with their own hands and the affability of cultural exchange.

The handmade lantern DIY session was full of creativity and fun. Under the guidance of the staff, participants made lovely "rabbit-shaped lanterns" by themselves. The lit lanterns not only illuminated the scene but also embodied everyone's good wishes and expectations, allowing international students to personally experience the traditional joy of "lighting up blessings".

This Mid-Autumn themed activity was not only a cultural experience but also a spiritual reunion. It successfully integrated cultural knowledge imparting, hands-on practice, and emotional exchange, enabling students from all over the world to feel the warmth of home and the school's care in a joyful and harmonious atmosphere, and truly interpreting the beautiful vision of "Sharing the Moonlight Across the Globe, Chinese and Foreign Friends as One Family". The activity came to a successful conclusion in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
